Tragedy in Alaska: Plane Carrying Two Crashes into Tanana River
A plane crashed in the Tanana River near Fairbanks, Alaska on Tuesday. The plane was a Douglas DC-4, an older kind of plane that doesn’t carry many passengers anymore. Two people were on board, and it doesn’t sound like they survived.
Rescue crews are on the scene, but we don’t know many details yet. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is going to investigate the crash.
An airline called Alaska Air Fuel says they own some DC-4 planes, but they don’t know anything about a crash.
